Lucas J D'souza, PhD
Lucas J D’Souza PhD is a principal scientist at the Center for Advanced Molecular and Immunological Therapies.
Dr. D’Souza’s research aims at identifying cancer neo-antigens that can elicit a robust T cell-dependent immune response targeting tumors of various grades. His work is broadly aimed at improving personalized immunotherapies.
Dr. D’Souza received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in science with a major in biotechnology from the University of Mumbai followed by a doctorate in immunology at the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, India. He then moved to Washington University in St. Louis in 2017 for his post-doctoral work, which he continued at the University of Arizona. His research aimed at understanding factors involved in B cell commitment following antigen exposure and in characterizing the metabolic and cellular features contributing to plasma cell longevity.
